New iPhone Clock - tell time with color!
We're Color Logic and we want to let you know about our latest innovation - Color Day - now available as an iPhone app.
Have you heard? There's a new way to tell time...
Color Day represents a distinctive, emotional and artistic expression of telling time with color - a breakthrough in contemporary design, style and imagination!
Conventionally, time is expressed numerically and we've all become accustomed to its predictable analog or digital representation. But the next generation of time-telling is so much more - more colorful, more expressive... much more fun!
How does it work?
At the foundation of Color Day design is the replacement of a numeric value with a color value. A 12-color sequence is used to replace the 12 numeric values of a traditional timepiece, with an assortment of transitional modalities that provide a variety of stunning, user-defined clock faces.
Choose from beautiful preset color palettes or apply custom color options with endless possibilities for personalization. Feeling patriotic? Show your true colors with the trio-color palette of your favorite flag and watch it repeat every 4 hours. Or, simply have fun by selecting colors to match your mood or outfit.
It's so easy...
The use of color as radical new way to measure time is based on an array of 12 colors, each representative of the 12 hours on a traditional clock. No less than one and no more than two colors are ever sharing the viewing surface at any time.
For example, if red is 12:00 and the surface of the timepiece is completely red, we know it's 12 o'clock. As the next hour approaches (let's say blue represents 1:00) the field of blue gradually displaces the previous color - red. As blue expands and displaces red, we see a proportional transition indicating the number of minutes past 12 o'clock. With a range of shapes and modes to choose from, you can make your time your own.
Additional features include a stopwatch, timer, and an alarm clock that allows you to 'color your day' by waking up to a rousing tune from your iTunes library!
